Know-how
For nearly 25 years, Thibierge & Comar has know-how in the very specific sector of transparent papers and more particularly of transparent paper.
Emeric Thibierge has developed a real expertise of this material, both in R&D, in production or in transformation, working with best paper mills in Europe and in the world.
Transparent paper is different from other papers. Few people know that cellulose fiber is naturally transparent.
Thus, the translucency of this paper comes from its natural production, without any chemical treatment, by a precise refining of the paper pulp : The aqueous suspension of cellulose fibers are beaten to obtain a "jelly". Tinted, drained and dried, this gives a transparent paper.
Essential for transparency, the precise refining of the paper pulp makes the sheet of tracing paper more sensitive than ordinary paper to variations in temperature and moisture. Being more compact (bulk: 0.8), with a very thin surface, tracing paper is also closer and less compressible.
